Conflict doesn’t come to us, it comes from us. If there is a storm in your
life, step back and take a deeper look. We see things not as they are but
as we are.
Do you recognize these four winds in your storm?
Ask, “What’s knocking me outside my comfort zone?” Identify the source
of the threat and examine your negative knee-jerk responses and attitudes. You calm the storm when you seek to understand and find common ground. Place more importance on peace than on ego and the need to be right.
Real transformation comes from facing our dysfunctions
and seeing our role as the “I” of the storm.
Exercise: Place both hands beside your head, bring your storm to mind and listen to the dialogue your brain is telling you. Then, place both hands on your heart and listen to the dialogue your heart intelligence tells you. You’ll notice a vast difference and a kinder, gentler voice.
